Being our Digital Marketing Operations Manager:

The temporary Marketing Manager will sit in this seat while a full-time staff member is on maternity leave. The job is open from June 11- October 5, 2018. This person will support the Global Brand Services team in executing the integrated marketing communications plans for our New Metrics '18 and SB'19 Detroit events, and our membership product through targeted, innovative digital marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute integrated marketing communication plans, defining messages to be communicated, targeting audiences and goals to be achieved, that fit with the company’s marketing initiatives and objectives for sustainable business events.
  • Maintain project schedules around marketing deliverables; project manage marketing campaigns.
  • Execute marketing email campaigns to acquire new leads and nurture existing leads to achieve marketing objectives for sustainable business events.
  • Test and optimize to improve open rates, click-through rates, conversion and other relevant KPIs for email campaigns
  • Execute marketing campaign creation, implementation, and technical management of demand generation programs including building, testing, documenting, attributing, and reporting back campaign results
  • Oversee live event microsites, landing pages, and lead generation campaigns to promote events, maximize engagement, and increase conversion rates
  • Develop and execute online advertising strategy, budget and timelines to promote live events and generate new top of the funnel leads on AdWords
  • Oversee and manage marketing tech stack across marketing automation tools (Pardot, Marketo and Mailchimp), analytics tools (Google Analytics), and optimization/productivity tools (Slack, Asana, Basecamp and Evernote).
  • Capture and analyze data from various platforms (such as etouches, Pardot, and Google) to provide KPIs against target goals and identify trends and develop/adjust marketing campaigns to generate growth and maximize acquisition, conversion and retention rates

About You/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Integrated Marketing Communications or related
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing automation platforms with a high proficiency in Marketo, Pardot or Mailchimp
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing operations in digital marketing environment
  • 3+ years of experience in email marketing in B2B industry, and/or in events/sustainability
  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS/JavaScript plus knowledge of website and email responsive design 
  • Strong analytical skills (including mastery of Microsoft Excel); must be able to manipulate, analyze, and learn from data in order to always improve job performance.
  • Knowledge of environmental and social sustainability practices in a business environment is a plus.
