A Conversation With Dr. Allen Hershkowitz, senior scientist, NRDC and with Robin Raj, founder/executive creative director, Citizen Group.   

This opening plenary session explores how mass entertainment and the games we play can be powerful vehicles to promote sustainability and take it mainstream. Melding ecological expertise with constructive engagement, Dr. Hershkowitz has helped lead the greening of American institutions including Major League Baseball (MLB), the NBA, NHL, and U.S. Tennis Association (USTA), as well as the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, and Broadway theater. Hershkowitz and Raj will share experiences and insights on how to create the political will and measurable benefits to positively affect everything from waste, energy, transportation, and procurement to fun and inspiring consumer engagement that raises consciousness and influences behavior.
