The average pair of jeans uses 42 liters of water per washing process. The Levi's Water<Less line reduces water by up to 96% in the finishing process. The rigid jeans use virtually no water in production. This could save up to 16 million liters of water, and even more if customers wash their jeans less frequently.

Levi's has also added to this effort to reduce waste in its Waste<Less line of jeans which incorporates recycled PET bottles.
