A New Value-to-Society Approach: Calculating a Brand’s Entire Contribution to Society

If brands are to commit to sustainable business models, they need to be equipped with a variety of important tools for the journey, not least of which would be an effective tool to illustrate the extra value generated by purposeful systems-oriented innovation. Chemical leader BASF has created a promising prototype of exactly that type of tool — a value-to-society calculator that estimates a brand’s contribution to society along the entire value chain. We were among the first to get a glimpse of this top-notch examples of German engineering.
