Measuring Social Impact in Context: Rethinking Impact Fund Measurement

Impact measurement today often does not include enough information about context in which the investment was made to truly understand how impactful it is. Funding schools in Mumbai is quite different from funding schools in a rural, impoverished area with little access. An evolving tool from Intellecap, called PRISM, aims to measure social enterprise outputs in context, using regional census and governmental data down to the district level, to show how meaningful an investment or enterprise really is. This presentation will demonstrate the unique approach of PRISM and illustrate how it works in practice.
