“Interesting proposition. Actually doing assessments of trash going to landfills led to advanced methods of recycling. Before we did full assessments of what and how much was in a dump truck no one had any idea of what was of value. Now green waste is almost all composted and metal, glass and plastic have been greatly reduced. So, in a way, dumpster diving is already a metric.”
