Columbia University and IBM today announced a new Center devoted to research, education, and innovation in blockchain technology and data transparency. To advance compelling new ways to apply blockchain and help address growing demands around data transparency, the Center will also include an innovation accelerator to incubate business ideas from entrepreneurial students, faculty and members of the startup community.

The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) today reinstated Nestlé S.A.’s membership following the submission of its time-bound action plan to achieve 100% RSPO certified sustainable palm oil by 2023. Effective Monday, July 16, 2018, Nestlé's certificates and membership status will be reinstated.

Sustainable Brands recently released the brochure for its 8th annual New Metrics conference. New Metrics ’18: The ROI of Sustainability will take place October 29-31 at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. This year’s conference will convene more than 400 sustainability practitioners, business and brand experts together to discuss novel ways to translate social and environmental impact into corporate financial performance indicators.
