Beth Jensen

Beth Jensen is Corporate Responsibility Manager at Outdoor Industry Association (OIA), a national trade association whose mission is to ensure the growth and success of the $730 billion active outdoor recreation economy. OIA members include recognized brands and retailers such as REI, Columbia Sportswear, Levi's, The North Face, Patagonia and Timberland.

Beth manages environmental and social responsibility initiatives within the outdoor recreation industry, including the Eco Index: a groundbreaking, collaboratively developed product-level environmental footprinting tool providing companies throughout the supply chain a way to benchmark and measure the environmental impact of their products and identify areas for improvement. Beth also assists with the OIA Political Action Committee, supporting members of Congress who advocate for recreation and trade policy relevant to the outdoor recreation industry.

Previous to OIA, Beth spent six years working with natural products clients including Stonyfield Farm and Annie's Homegrown to produce national field marketing programs aimed at increasing consumer awareness and trial of natural and organic products. She also served as Sponsorship Manager for Jack Johnson's Kokua Festival, an event benefitting environmental education programs in Hawaii schools. Beth has a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College and an MBA from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She has lived in Boulder since 2004 and in her spare time can be found running, mountain biking, or otherwise playing outside.
