A Native of the East Bay, Alex attended the University of Oregon and is currently finishing his B.A. in Environmental Studies and Political Science. After indulging his passions for technology as a tech writer and assembly technician for the robotics manufacturer Asyst Technologies in Silicon Valley, Alex collaborated to build entrepreneurial websites, developing online marketing strategies to drive traffic and advertising revenues. Alex came onboard the SLM team eager to put his technology, writing and sustainability skills to use as Online Marketing Coordinator where he works to leverage social media and other online channels to push the Sustainable Brands message out to the masses. Alex uses his seasoned knowledge of environmentalism to engage with the sustainable business community, driving conversation toward the crucial issues that today’s leading brands will face on the road to a sustainable economy. In addition, Alex enjoys the privilege of contributing to SB’s vast library of content with editorials and newsletters all focused on how our brands can effect positive change. When he’s not at the office, Alex enjoys playing music, snowboarding and coding websites with his friends.
