Carly is passionate about creating supply chains that are sustainable, inclusive and beneficial to people, planet and profit. For much of her career she has lived and worked in East Africa managing projects that support smallholder farmers to adopt best practices in sustainable agriculture, adapt to climate change, improve the quality, traceability and productivity of their produce, and access markets. She is particularly knowledgeable on the coffee supply chain and over the years has worked for a specialty coffee importer and two international NGOs.

Carly believes in the power of business and in cross-sector collaborations to tackle crucial environmental and social issues. She has witnessed firsthand how the ‘beyond-audit’ agenda can benefit the bottom line and is excited to be part of this trend moving forward. Her expertise includes understanding the diverse needs of multiple stakeholders and working with them to create mutually beneficial solutions, designing and implementing capacity building training for producers, and supporting businesses to develop profitable pro-poor strategies.

Carly holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oxford and an MBA from IE Business School.
