Chip Walker is the EVP, Director of Brand Planning & Innovation at Y&R New York and BAV Consulting, where he leads the Agency’s strategic function. Chip has a proven track record developing marketing, brand, communications and digital strategy for a wide array of major brands. He has led the strategic function at creative agencies (BBDO, Y&R), a marketing services agency (Wunderman) and at a digital & social agency (StrawberryFrog), giving him a unique multi-disciplinary skill-set. He’s also lead strategy across the Y&R companies (ad, media, digital, multi-cultural, etc.) for clients such as AT&T.
Innovation and leadership have been cornerstones of Chip’s career. He worked closely with John Gerzema in conceptualizing and executing the editorial vision for New York Times Best-Selling book, The Athena Doctrine: How Women (And The Men Who Think Like Them) Will Rule the Future. 
Chip is a frequent commentator on consumer culture and trends. His ideas and predications about topics ranging from global youth to baby boomers regularly appear in US and international broadcast and print media such as The New York Times, CNBC, Forbes and Business Week. Chip holds a BA degree in philosophy and an MBA degree in marketing from Vanderbilt University. He lives in Manhattan’s Union Square neighborhood.
