Unimpressed by his colleagues boring MBAs, Chris is the Better World Books’ token philosopher and hails from the nonprofit world. He received a BA in philosophy at St. John’s University in Minnesota and a MA in continental philosophy at the University of Essex in England where he was an International Rotary Scholar.

Before joining Better World Books, Chris was the Vice President at Libraries for the Future (LFF), a national nonprofit organization focused on innovation and investment in public libraries. Earlier in his career, Chris was the Manager of Strategic Initiatives at the Points of Light Foundation, founded and taught conflict resolution and teen GED courses in Washington, DC, and served as a high school teacher in Belize, Central America. Chris has been a Big Brother Big Sister volunteer since 1993.

Chris oversees all of the company’s book acquisitions from libraries, bookstores, campuses, wholesalers, and thrift operations across the U.S. and Canada.
