Jessica is a native of Sacramento, and graduated with a B.A. in Interpersonal & Organizational Communication at the California State University of Long Beach. After earning her degree she spent time traveling across North America in her previous position for International Student Volunteers, and also lived in Seville, Spain, where she worked in the tour and hospitality industry. Although with a minor in Political Science she always maintained an interest in the convergence of politics and the effects of globalization; it wasn't until after she graduated that she began researching current industrial and environmental challenges and learning of the critical role industry has in addressing these pressing issues. Her passion for creating a future where business heeds as much to the social and environmental outcomes as it does to profits, lead her to San Francisco; arguably the epicenter of sustainable innovation. She is very excited to join the SLM team, and as Customer Service Coordinator looks forward to doing her part to work towards the shared vision of driving society towards a sustainable future.
