Bio:
Sustainable Futurist, Speaker, Facilitator and Journalist, Jim McClelland has a media and events background in magazine publishing and direction of conference and awards programmes.
With a Master’s degree in ‘The Word & the Visual Imagination’, Jim has amassed over 20 years’ experience as publisher, editor and journalist for leading B2B titles, having founded the first dedicated UK publication for Sustainability and the Built Environment back in the late 1990s.
Based in the UK, he has had work featured in supplements for The Times, plus been quoted in The Sunday Times, The Guardian and The Telegraph. Jim is also highly active on social media: As @SustMeme, he is ranked in the top 10 UK Twitter users for such as Sustainability and (Built) Environment.
Events commitments include contributing in the role of programme director, chair, presenter or panellist at national and regional conferences, seminars and workshops. He has also sat as a judge for numerous awards schemes and competitions, plus hosted formal political dinners at The House of Commons.
Particular topics of interest include: Systemics, Swarm Theory, Semiotics, ‘Greenwash’, CSR, Ecosystems Services, EthEco Design & Choice Editing.
