Lynley Sides, CEO of The Glue Network, was recognized as one of “15 Founders & CEOs To Watch” in Women 2.0 this year and believes business success and social good are inextricably linked. A serial entrepreneur with boundless energy, she started her successful business at age ten.  As a seasoned tech and digital media executive, she’s launched award-winning new products and marketing programs for companies such as IBM, Westinghouse and RedHerring.com, where she led 3X growth of users, subscribers and revenue.

In 2001, she founded a social venture that provides interim executive and consulting services and has remained profitable since day one while giving back along the way.  Over the years, she has helped companies including Genentech, HP, Touch Revolution, Levi’s and Outlook Ventures, as well as non-profits such as the Sierra Club assess, develop and market new products and grow responsibly. After adopting a child from China in 2005, she founded a Mandarin language and Chinese culture program that has educated kids while helping special needs orphans in China.

In 2010, she co-founded The Glue Network, a platform that enables companies of all sizes to improve their bottom lines through giving and social media.  As an advisor to The Intersection Event, she’s creating the first global award that will recognize new ventures as well as large organizations that are driving positive social change through innovation.

Lynley has been a speaker and contributor to INC.com, Women 2.0, The Future Buzz among others on topics including cause marketing, digital media and company social responsibility.  Lynley holds an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech.  An avid skier and runner, Lynley lives in Lafayette, California with her husband and two children.
