After studying traditional business for several years, Marianne decided to follow her passion for environmental and sustainability issues and moved to California to pursue a degree with a special focus on Sustainability in Business. After studying traditional business for several years, Marianne decided to follow her passion for environmental and sustainability issues and moved to California to pursue a degree with a special focus on Sustainability in Business. After finishing up her education with a semester at INCAE Business School in Costa Rica, she joined our team to manage the Sustainable Brands Conference and other SB events.



Marianne enjoys the great outdoors of northern California, and really appreciates having both the ocean and mountains in close proximity. She loves getting out of town on weekends, preferably with a bicycle or hiking shoes 'in hand'.



Prior to joining Sustainable Life Media, Marianne worked as an Office Manager for Space Group AS; an innovative architect’s firm in Norway and did a Business Consulting project on Ecotourism for Ecomentum LLC in Marina, CA. She graduated with an M.B.A. in Sustainable Business from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in 2009 and got her BS in Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Management in 2007.
