The environment and public health are interconnected assets we all share, and should be valued, not wasted. To those ends, better knowledge and inspired innovation are critical to finding a better way forward. That’s the point of view Steve Roberts has brought to his career as a strategic marketer for the past 15 years, embracing his role as an agent for change.

Steve is currently the global brand manager for the environment at Dell where he promotes their commitment to put technology and expertise to work where it can do the most good for people and the planet. From helping to build an
internal culture committed to creating shared value, to educating customers about Dell’s environmental efforts, Steve has a passion for turning great ideas into action. He meshes a deep knowledge of sustainability issues with a strategic approach to innovative marketing. He excels at distilling complex messages into everyday language that resonates with his target audiences. And he embraces the challenge of creating the right strategy and selecting the right vehicles to get those messages to stick.

Prior to joining Dell in 2011, Steve spent more than 13 years helping EnviroMedia Social Marketing grow from a 4-person fledgling agency with a single client to a 60-person firm specializing in environmental and public health campaigns for clients like America Recycles Day, Dell, Green Mountain
Energy Company, the Don’t Mess with Texas litter prevention campaign, and the Texas Department of Health. He was the strategic lead and account director for many of the agency’s clients and captained much of the agency’s new business efforts during his tenure. Steve also oversaw multiple account teams, the media planning/buying departments and the agency’s sustainability consulting subsidiary – Green Canary.

Steve graduated from Northwestern University with a double major in History and Spanish Literature. He also received a Master’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin in Latin American History.
