Woody Keown is the Global Purchases Leader (Director) for Environmental and Social Sustainability for the Procter & Gamble Company.  Woody’s key responsibilities include leading the acquisition, development and commercialization of new renewable material technologies and supply chains for P&G’s products and packaging; development of new sustainability focused business and supply chain models; guiding the corporate development, coordination/integration and deployment of P&G’s supplier-related sustainability policies, strategies, activities and goals; and developing organization capability strategies for sustainability. 

Woody provides key corporate leadership that enables P&G’s external business partners to more effectively contribute toward key milestones that lead to P&G’s success in achieving its long-term environmental vision.  As a panelist for the “Advancing Sustainability Through Smarter Procurement Scorecarding” session, he will be sharing what P&G has learned since launching its Supplier Environmental Sustainability Scorecard and ideas for broader reapplication.

Woody has progressed through a wide variety of purchasing assignments during his career at P&G, including direct (e.g. chemicals, packaging, devices, contract manufacturing) and indirect (e.g. capital equipment, construction services, MRO).  He has developed significant expertise and mastery in the areas of strategic supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, corporate innovation and new business development.
