“Crowdsource-Cleaning” the Planet and Building a Unique Consumer Engagement Dataset in the Process

Litterati has built an app and a quickly growing online community of people motivated to act against litter through geotagging. By photographing and tagging litter, Litterati users identify the most commonly found brands and products in any given area, prompting a new kind of conversation with companies whose products are seen through the app. In this talk, we learned exactly how the process works, and how brands can get ahead by being proactive in the context of “crowdsource-cleaning.”
