Emmanuel Faber is the CEO and Vice Chairman of Danone. He joined Danone in 1997 as head of Finance, Strategies and Information Systems and in 2000 became Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Executive Committee. In 2005, he was appointed as Vice President, Asia-Pacific region, in charge of operational activities. He initiated the social business joint venture Grameen-Danone Foods, Ltd. in Bangladesh and at the end of 2006 oversaw the creation of danone.communities, the first French mutual investment fund carrying social business. He has served as director of the danone.communities mutual investment fund since 2008.

Faber co-chairs the Action Tank “Business and Poverty” social experimentation lab, which gathers companies, civil society organizations and academic spheres together with the aim to reduce poverty and exclusion in France. Since 2011 he has chaired the Strategic Guidance Committee of the Institute for Economic and Social Development of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University.

Faber also serves as a Director of Ryanair Limited, Wahaha, Danone Asia Private Ltd., Wadia Bsn India Ltd., Kro Beer Brands SA, GénéraleBiscuit, Mecaniver, Bsn Glasspack, Alfabanque, Lodahlim BV and Danone Holdings UK Limited. Mr. Faber is a graduate of the HEC Paris.
